Our story so far

2011 avantia continues to receive accolades for its unique technology and approach to home insurance, as winners of the e-business Broker Award and finalist in the British Insurance Awards and the Insurance Times Awards.
2010 homeprotect’s unique proposition was rolled out and soon captivated the industry, winning the British Insurance Awards for the Broking Initiative of the Year and a place on the finalists podium at the Insurance Times Awards for Broker/Intermediary Innovation of the Year.
avantia helped Confused to become the first UK Comparison Site to truly offer non-standard home insurance to its customers.
2009 homeprotect’s unique ability to quote and sell to the widest footprint of any UK home insurance provider, online and over the phone, was unveiled in August.
2008 Development of our unique ability to quote for all types of home insurance risk online first started.
2006 The launch of 08000 helpme – a low cost personal emergency service offering everything from credit card cancelation to barring your mobile phone and emergency translation services into 52 different languages.
2005 homeprotect was one of the first brands to be available via Moneysupermarket and Confused.
