Avantia Group is the parent company of Homeprotect - an award-winning direct-to-consumer specialist home insurance brand which specialises in ‘non-standard’ properties, and the only full-service UK home insurance MGA with an automated quote footprint of more than 95%.

Homeprotect has been underwritten by AXA since 2012. In 2025, Avantia Group and AXA announced a multi-year partnership extension, with a deal that sees AXA continue to provide capacity for Avantia’s high-growth customer base.  
 
Does Avantia Group sell directly as well as via price comparison websites? 
Homeprotect is Avantia Group’s consumer-facing brand, and Homeprotect products are sold directly through its consumer website, and via many price comparison sites. 
 
What are Avantia Group’s latest GWP and turnover figures? 
Avantia Group shared its 2025 financial results in May 2026, announcing eight consecutive years of double-digit growth and a record turnover of £57m (22% year on year growth). Its gross written premium (GWP) in 2025 was £175m. Avantia Group is privately owned, and its current investors are ECI Partners, who have partnered with Avantia since 2014, and reinvested in the business in 2021. 
 
Who is on the leadership team?

Through its consumer-facing brand, Homeprotect, Avantia specialises in buildings and contents insurance for a wide range of UK properties, including those which may struggle to secure policies with traditional providers, such as unoccupied homes, homes with a history of flooding, heritage homes, and holiday homes or an Airbnb.  
 
How many customers does Avantia serve? 
As of 2026, the business serves more than 350,000 UK customers, and has an ambition to scale to over one million customers, through an AI-operated business model. 
 
What home insurance products does Avantia offer (buildings, contents, combined, add-ons)? 
Via Homeprotect’s consumer website, you can purchase buildings, contents or combined home insurance cover for UK properties, with a variety of optional add-ons including accidental damage, home emergency, legal expenses and lost key cover.
