Dan Huddart, Chief Technology Officer at Avantia Group

Dan Huddart
Chief Technology Officer

Responsible for technology, data and AI, Dan empowers our people to deliver market leading solutions quicker than anyone else; while ensuring we maintain a stable and secure platform.

He has pioneered the early adoption of AI at Avantia, building a strong track record of innovation through proprietary platform creation. This began in 2017 with the development of Cortex, an intelligent decision-making platform for pricing and rating, enabling an unmatched quote footprint in the UK market.

Before this Dan headed the development teams for RSA’s UK personal lines business, as well as consultative roles with RSA’s businesses in Scandinavia and Canada to drive their digital strategies.

Dan has very progressive views, believing that insurers have so far failed to appreciate how AI will change the industry, and how early investment in tech, data and people is essential to survival. He takes his influence on the use of technology in insurance from the wider tech sector in the UK and US.
